September 16 marks the second anniversary of the death of Mahsa (Jina) Amini at the hands of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Since the day of Mahsa's death, our goal has been to repeat her name and the names of those who were killed or abducted and to keep echoing the slogan 'Woman, Life, Freedom' until justice is achieved. The dictators in Iran deny reality through lies, censorship, and repression, pushing us toward forgetfulness. But our fight is to remember and keep their memory alive against the oppressors.

We plan to gather on Monday, September 16, at 11 a.m. at Chess Plaza at UTD to read the collective efforts of Persian-speaking poets and writers who have documented "Woman, Life, Freedom" over the past two years. Join us in solidarity. It is for all of us.
